Women, Children, and Soldiers

In contemporary peace and security challenges

May 21, 2021

Palmerston North City Library

Te Ourua room

This public talk will discuss new contemporary conflicts and how New Zealand is engaging to promote peace and security in the world. Peace and Security missions are not only a matter of governments and International organisations, but involve and affect the lives of ordinary people like women, children, and soldiers. The panelists are experts in security issues and some of them have seen conflicts first-hand. They will guide us through a journey of experiences in policy making, children agency, and warfare in Timor and Afghanistan.
